Carnival Fascination 8/09

Thank you for the champaign and chocolate covered strawberries! These things were a wonderful start to our cruise. I will try to book another one fairly soon to go with my parents and our kids. As always, you have been wonderful and you make things extemely easy when planning a vacation. Thank you for being professional and helpful in every way.

RCCL Explorer of the Seas Bayonne to Bermuda

*Best cruise ever
*We've been on the ship or sister ships about 4 times...this is truly a wonderful ship
*Forget Princess in the future...after 3 Princess cruises it was a pleasure to get back to RCI
*I speak for us and the other couples who haven't been on this ship or cruised in many years
*Suggestion to people booking for this Bermuda cruise...formal night not so important, but people did dress-up...DON'T WORRY ABOUT BEING CASUAL IF IT MEANS PACKING LESS
*No formal for us (and I usually enjoy it), but travelling with 1 suitcase and 1 carry-on was a pleasure
*Tell people to arrive at 10 am "ish" go directly to parking (ask attendants...you must drive past area where people are pulling-up to unload)
*Park car and walk your bags about 100 yards to building you just passed
*Give bags to attendant...he'll tag them and they'll be at your room in 2 hours-you can wheel carry-on aboard if you want to
*If you filled out docs online it takes 10 minutes to do paperwork
*They put you on a 3 minute shuttle bus ride...on the ship by 11-12
*Bermuda is awesome...use public transportation (busses and ferries) to get you anywhere you want to go-$20 per person for a two day all the rides you want
*Ferry rides are like excursions...go to Horseshoe beach...try to get there early, but it really is never a zoo
*Dave the cruise the director...best in 20 cruises
*Food was great
*Sign-up early if you want specialty restaurants
*If you want an early departure...sign-up for it early...you must take your own bags off...so the fewer the better...NOT REALLY FOR FRAGILE ELDERLY...WHEELCHAIR PATRONS NOT ALLOWED
*We were off the ship before 8 am on the return date and home in Baldwin by 9:30am
*Ship sailing below Verrazano Bridge is awesome

You were wonderful-not a stone left unturned! The way you attended to every detail of our trip made it as close to perfect as one can get. We hope we can show our gratitude by spreading your name and reputation to anyone interested in cruising. Please feel free to quote any of all of this on your web page for others to see, as well as to use our name and email for references.

Reece,
Want to let you know our Baltic Cruise was great. The Oosterdam is a fantastic ship with a crew to match. Overall, the service was the best of any cruise we have been on. Holland American is now my favorite line.

The side trips were interesting and well planned, but, except for St. Petersburg, one could create their own tour of port cities if they wanted. Some downtown shopping areas were within a short walk of the ship. With others, Holland American ran shuttle busses to town.

I would recommend Holland American to anyone planning a cruise. Also, I would recommend you as the travel agent. We appreciated your arranging our trip at the eleventh hour and your prompt response to every inquiry we made. Thanks again.

Hi Reece -
Well, it's only a month or so later and we are finally back to you. First of all, I don't know how you managed it, but the TRIPLE balcony that you secured for us was a wonderful treat - we were so surprised and was great since there were so many of us traveling. Also, the proximity of the cabins was perfect. In retrospect, if we had been separated it would have been a bit nerve wracking just in case anything went wrong to have had any of the children anywhere else but very close by. The one thing that upset us right at the beginning was the fact that because we were on two different hallways, NAMES OMITTED were at a different muster station than the rest of us - in fact on the other side of the ship - which, had an emergency occurred would have been just about impossible to accept.
Other than that, we really had a lovely time and the ship was wonderful for the children. Yes, the decor is pretty tacky and overdone on first impression but you do, in fact, begin to overlook the endless mermaids and cupids fairly quickly. Pizza and ice cream 24/7 and the toweled animals every night were a particular highlight for , NAME OMITTED. The water slide was a disappointment as it was almost never open and when it was the line was very long. We found the service in general to be very nice though not quite as attentive or obliging as on the Empress. The food in the dining room was MUCH better and the staff very friendly with only one shortcoming on the first night when it took an hour before we got our drinks - they were very apologetic though made up for it throughout the rest of the week.
If we had our choice, I think both John and I preferred the Nordic Empress itinerary of St. Georges And Hamilton but being at the Navy Yard had its perks as well.
Thanks again for everything - we'll be in touch.
